Having film crews at A1 is starting to become something of a common occurrence these days.

The latest crew to drop in on us were filming us for an awards ceremony that we’ll be attending next month, as we’ve been shortlisted for two top prizes.

We’re delighted to be attending the Midlands Family Business Awards in November and the film crew wanted to capture the essence of how we design, manufacture and install industrial chimneys and flue systems.

The film will be screened at the awards, which have been judged by one of the UK’s most prominent members of a family business – Alex Polizzi, who stars as the Hotel Inspector on Channel 5.

We did the hard work and faced Ms Polizzi at a panel interview after we had been shortlisted. As is often the case, she was completely the opposite of her TV demeanour and was very warm, caring and genuinely interested in the progress of our family business.

Being filmed is becoming a breeze and it’ll be interesting to see the finished version. We’ll upload it soon, adding it to our growing collection of videos.
