Duo of appointments in Scotland

A1 Flue Systems has made two new appointments to bolster our sales and engineering support in Scotland.

Stuart Henderson joins as the area sales manager, and Stuart Craigon joins as a contract engineer.

The pair have previously worked together, and Stuart Craigon has already become affectionately known as ‘Stewie’ to differentiate them.

Our Director John Hamnett said that A1 sees Scotland as having massive potential for growth.

He said: “The Scottish construction industry is clearly benefitting from the country’s surge in confidence, and this represents a great opportunity for A1 to strengthen its position as a supplier of high-quality flue systems.

“We’re delighted that Stuart and Stewie have chosen to join us, as they work exceptionally well together, and we’re all very excited at the prospect of what they can achieve to take A1 to the next level in Scotland.”

Stuart Henderson will be responsible for managing existing relationships with contractors, architects and project managers. He will also use his network of industry contacts to develop new relationships in a bid to get A1’s flue and chimney systems specified into a range of up-and-coming commercial developments across Scotland, from hotels and municipal buildings to office blocks.

“A1 is clearly on the up, which makes it an exciting time to join,” he said. “It has a well-earned reputation for designing flue systems for some of the most challenging construction projects because it has levels of expertise that are unsurpassed in the UK.”

Stuart Craigon will oversee all contracts to ensure installations run smoothly and will provide additional technical input on new project specifications.

“A1 has a great reputation in the flue and chimney industry, so I didn’t have to think twice about joining and working with Stuart again,” he said. “We are very confident that the contracts will come through thick and fast now that A1 has a dedicated and proactive presence in Scotland.”
