More new faces at A1

We have made two key appointments to bolster our UK sales team.

Tim Garrison is our new sales representative for West Midlands and M5 corridor. Dave Horn is the new representative for the North West of England and North Wales.

Tim and Dave bring nearly 50 years’ experience between them to A1 Flues and will be responsible for managing existing relationships with contractors, architects and project managers for the company. They will also look to use their network of industry contacts to develop new relationships as part of the company’s growth plans to install more flues and chimneys in commercial developments from flagship projects to municipal buildings and office blocks.

In his previous role as a contractor, Tim specified A1’s flues on a range of projects including Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, so joining the company was an easy decision.

Tim said: “I know all about the quality of A1 Flue Systems’ products and the fact they can always be relied upon to complete contracts on time and in budget – so this is going to be a great opportunity for me because I already have nearly 20 years with A1.”

Dave joins from a European competitor and says he joined A1 because he kept losing out to them on contracts, so he decided that “if you can’t beat them, join them.”

“A1 is the UK market leader, and time and again I’d come up against them. It was difficult to find a chink in their armour, so it made perfect sense to become part of the team – especially as they’re a company on the up that is achieving strong growth,” he said.

The appointments of Tim Garrison and Dave Horn come hot on the heels of that of Michael Thomson, who has become an agent for A1 in Scotland.

Our director TJ Duncan-Moir, says the company is experiencing rapid growth both within the UK and further afield and we expect to make more key appointments over the next few months.

“Our company has ambitious plans to increase its market share in the UK and to establish itself in other regions of the world, and Dave and Tim are valuable additions to the A1 team.”
