A1 is Premier League

A1 Flue Systems is in the Premier League of flue companies after installing systems at the stadiums of some of English football’s top-flight clubs this season.

We have installed systems at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Burnley and Huddersfield Town – all of whom play in the Premier League – in the last few months.

And our work also extends north of the border, having completed a project for Heart of Midlothian, who play in the Scottish Premiership.

Our Director John Hamnett said it’s rather fitting that A1 – which is the market leader in the manufacture, installation and maintenance of commercial and industrial chimney, flue and exhaust systems and has won lots of ‘titles’ of its own – is the company that leading football clubs turn to for new flues.

“A1 is in good company working on projects for Premier League and Scottish Premiership clubs this season – after all, we’re a multi-award-winning company ourselves, scooping our industry’s most-prestigious prizes,” said John.

For a business of our size and expertise, all the projects have been very straightforward, but each one is definitely a feather in our cap and adds to a bulging portfolio of prestigious projects that we have worked on.

Our reach has extended beyond football: we have also recently completed projects at Epsom Downs Racecourse (the venue of the world-famous Derby flat race) and Headingly, which hosts test matches and is the home to Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

We have also in the past completed projects for Arsenal Football Club’s Emirates Stadium, Twickenham (the home of English rugby) and Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

John added that A1 has a real pedigree in designing, manufacturing and installing flue systems for sport venues – including the most iconic one of all that A1 still isn’t allowed to officially talk about, even though it has been turned into a football stadium so West Ham United can play their home games there.

“It baffles me that seven years on from 2012, we’re still not officially allowed to talk about such a flagship project – but we all know what we did, and that’s the main thing!” said John.
