Natural ventilation

The WINDAVENT system

Natural ventilation systems can be incorporated into the design of flue systems to provide a steady supply of fresh air into any building by maximising the use of wind pressure and the natural stack effect of thermal buoyancy.

The latest natural ventilation systems have overcome the limitations of passive stacks by incorporating wind-driven air intakes to generate positive pressure. This, combined with temperature differentials, assists the passive stack as part of the process of removing the stale air within buildings.

No-leak guarantee

Our natural ventilation systems do not leak because they have an unrivalled level of weather protection for roof-mounted ventilation systems, thanks to three unique layers of ActivLouvre weather protection:

  • The first layer allows the weather resistance of the external louvre blade to be increased depending on weather conditions, even when closed at roof level to prevent snow being blown through its open louvre arrangement.
  • The second layer is a weather-resistant double-step louvre profile.
  • The third layer features a computer-designed, profiled internal rain-trap louvre.

To support our range of natural ventilation systems, we also offer:

  • Hybrid thermal mixing systems – these are designed to provide mixed tempered air during winter, boosted levels of ventilation during summer and secure night-time cooling.
  • Natural cooling – systems such as COOL-PHASE create a healthy and productive environment by monitoring internal air quality and ensuring there is a supply of fresh air.
