The Halifax needed new chimneys for its 'home' in Yorkshire
- and turned to A1 Bridge Flue Systems to help them complete
the renovations.
The Trinity Road headquarters in Halifax is home to one of
the UK's largest financial concerns. It was built in the early
1970's and is of considerable architectural interest.
As part of an on-going maintenance and efficiency
programme at the Halifax, A1 Bridge Flue Systems were commissioned
to remove and replace the original silencers and bellows which
had come to the end of their working life. Three chimneys
were refurbished, each serving three sequenced boilers.
Janice Moir of A1 Bridge Flue Systems
said: "The Trinity Road building is a major landmark
and we were very pleased to be able to offer a solution to
the replacement problem. Space within the chimney area was
tight but we were able to overcome that particular challenge."
